Mateo Soto

PT, DPT, CSCS

I found my first love when I started playing football and became a Javelin thrower in high school. I tore my meniscus in high school and needed to have physical therapy to return to football. This is when I first discovered physical therapy and the start of my journey. I continued playing in college at Sacred Heart University where I graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science and my DPT in 2022. During my undergraduate studies I was also a student coach for the track and field team where I coached other Javelin throwers, while also becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

During graduate school I completed my internship at EXOS physical therapy and performance where I worked with current NFL athletes and pro baseball players. Throughout the years I have learned to listen to my patients’ problems and to understand what they are feeling, and where they are coming from. From the information gained I make a program that is based on the patients’ top priorities and puts them in the best position to succeed in their daily life for years to come.

In my free time I love to root for the New York Giants and Mets. I also love to read the bible and occasionally play the guitar and piano. I am looking forward to joining a great team here at Myokinetix, a place that truly puts the patients’ needs first!
