Danny Burbano

Clinic Director
LAc, PTA

I have over fifteen years of experience in orthopedic rehabilitation practicing as a Physical Therapy Assistant, and also as an Acupuncturist. Over that time, I have treated a wide range of ages from 4 years old to clients in their 90’s.

My areas of expertise are sports, injury prevention, post-surgical, & return to sport. I believe every client should be treated as a whole person, despite just complaining about a “sore knee” or “tight back”. My objectives include treating the origin of the dysfunction, improving the quality of life, and teaching strategies to get back to the life you deserve.

I’ve had experience teaching as an Adjunct Professor in the Gross Anatomy & Palpation Lab for Seton Hall University in both the Doctor of Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant Programs.  I have taught anatomy through cadaver dissection for first-year PT and PA students, led muscle palpation classes for PT students, and have been part of the teaching staff for weekend seminars for movement assessments and sports injuries. Additionally, I have lead workshops for CrossFit gyms about maximizing performance through proper warm-ups, as well as workshops for coaches, personal trainers, and other PTs on injury prevention. Some other workshops have included those for pain education for low back and knee pain, as well as webinars for meniscus, sciatica, and rotator cuff.

My experience & education in both Western and Eastern Medicine give me a unique perspective and understanding of how to provide holistic, conservative, and patient-centered care. When not in the clinic, I spend my time with my wife and son. We love taking road trips and trying out new dishes.
